P. B. Academic School celebrated its Annual Junior Sports Day 2025–2026 with great enthusiasm and vibrant energy on 31st January 2026 in the school premises. The event turned into a joyful carnival of fitness, fun, and sportsmanship, especially designed for the junior wing.

The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Sudip Naha, Captain of Boats and Chief Coach at Lake Club, and Mr. Anindo Sarkar, renowned Bengali actor and director. The programme was further dignified by the presence of the school Principal Mrs. Madhuparna Andrews and Management Trustee Mrs. Kirti Bhagchandka, whose encouragement added immense motivation to the young participants.

The sports events for Tiny Scholars to KG were delightfully themed as “Toon Champs’ Adventure.” The little ones captivated the audience through colourful drills and cartoon-based races such as Kung Fu Panda Bamboo Race, Winnie the Pooh Race, Tom and Jerry Race, and many more, filling the ground with laughter and cheer.

For Classes I and II, the segment was titled “Tricolour Stars.” Students showcased disciplined drills along with impressive karate and gymnastics displays, highlighting strength, balance, and coordination. The competitive spirit continued with patriotic and energetic games like Veer Tiger Run, Tiranga Treasure Hunt, and Little Patriots Relay, which were thoroughly enjoyed by participants and spectators alike.

A heart-warming highlight of the day was the special races for students of the Inclusive Department. Every participant was honoured with a trophy by the Principal and the Management Trustee, drawing loud applause and appreciation from the audience and reinforcing the message that every effort deserves recognition.

Adding to the excitement, special races for fathers and mothers were also organised, making the event inclusive and engaging for the entire school community.

The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates and medals to the winners, marking a successful and memorable sports day that celebrated not just victory, but participation, confidence, and unity.

The Annual Junior Sports Day truly reflected the school’s commitment to holistic development and joyful learning.

This year a day outing was organised by P.B Academic School for the students of classes III to V on 16th January.

It was not only a recreational trip but an educational trip also.

The children were taken to Jagriti Dham, Merlin Greens, Ibiza. It is a beautiful and peaceful place.

They enjoyed a lot among the greenery. They played different games organised by the teachers. The students were provided healthy and yummy breakfast and lunch.

We are happy that the school has given such a wonderful opportunity to the students to enjoy the whole day.

We are also thankful to the parents who have been a constant support for us.

The Junior Annual Concert of P. B. Academic School, featuring students from Pre-Scholars to Class II, was held with great enthusiasm on 13th December 2025 in the school auditorium. The event witnessed an overwhelming presence of parents who were cordially invited to enjoy and encourage the young performers.

The programme began with delightful performances by students from Pre-Scholars to KG, themed “Around the World in Our Little Feet.” The tiny tots mesmerised the audience by presenting dances representing different countries such as London, France, Spain, America, Africa, China, Antarctica, Australia, and finally India. Dressed in colourful and culturally appropriate costumes, the children beautifully showcased the diversity and unity of the world through their graceful movements and cheerful expressions.

Adding to the charm of the evening, students of Classes I and II presented a lively dance drama on “Aladdin and the Magic Lamp.” The performance was rich in expressions, well-coordinated choreography, and engaging enactments, which held the audience spellbound. The creativity, confidence, and teamwork displayed by the young artists were truly commendable.

The grandeur of the show, combined with impressive costumes, attractive stage décor, and flawless acts, made the concert a memorable one. The event was graced by the Honourable Principal, Mrs. Madhuparna Andrews, and the Management Trustee, Mrs. Kirti Bhagchandka, who appreciated the students and congratulated the teachers for their dedicated efforts in grooming the children.

The Junior Annual Concert concluded on a joyful note, leaving the audience with proud smiles and cherished memories of a spectacular celebration of talent and culture.

Report on Educational Trip to Shantiniketan (Bolpur)

P. B. Academic School successfully organized its first-ever educational trip to Shantiniketan (Bolpur)
from 1st December 2025 to 2nd December 2025. A total of 33 students participated in the trip under the
able guidance of the respected Principal, Mrs. Madhuparna Andrews, and four teachers—Mr. Kamal
Mitra, Mr. Rocky Francis, Ms. Kakoli Ghosh, and Ms. Camelia Saha Das.

The journey began early morning on 1st December and was filled with excitement and enthusiasm. The
students visited important and enriching places such as Visva-Bharati University, the Shantiniketan
Museum, the house of Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen, and the vibrant Sonajhuri Haat, where students
experienced local art, craft, and culture.

The group stayed at Panthaniwas, where comfortable accommodation and delicious, hygienic food were
provided. In the evening, a joyful bonfire session was organized, during which students participated in
quiz competitions, games, and fun activities, creating unforgettable memories and strengthening
friendship and teamwork.

The trip concluded safely on 2nd December 2025, with students returning home enriched with
knowledge, cultural exposure, and happy experiences. The school believes that such educational tours
play a vital role in holistic learning, and students are eagerly looking forward to participating in more
such trips in the future.

We are confident that future educational tours will continue to inspire, educate, and excite our
students.

P. B. Academic School organized the much-awaited Kids Kitchen Activity on 19th September 2025 in the school auditorium for the Pre-Primary Section. The theme of the event was “Street Food Fiesta – A Healthier Version of Street Food.” The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from mothers and their children, who together prepared a delightful spread of healthier alternatives to popular street foods. From traditional favorites to creative innovations, the dishes reflected a perfect blend of taste, nutrition, and imagination. The competition was judged by Ms. Sutapa Barua, Executive Chef and owner of Himur Heshel, and Mr. Rinchen Wangdi Bhutia, a renowned food blogger. The esteemed judges evaluated the dishes based on taste, presentation, and creativity, and applauded the efforts of the participants for striking a balance between health and flavor. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, and learning, as the mothers shared their love for cooking while bonding with their little ones. After much anticipation, the winners were announced, and prizes were awarded to the talented mothers and their children who showcased outstanding culinary skills. The Kids Kitchen Activity turned out to be a resounding success, leaving behind unforgettable memories for all. More than just a competition, it was a joyful celebration of motherly love, culinary creativity, and the joy of cooking together.
