On the 22nd of December 2024, our team of 16 members (7 female & 9 males) left for Kerala Nationals.
After a fun and tiring train journey, we reached Thrissur, Kerala. After refreshing, we enjoyed the scenic beauty and mesmerising waterfalls of the place. Our team was set to leave for Munnar, where a hard-working and insightful day of Seminar from Sensei T.D. Johnson was waiting for us.
On December 28th, our team participated in the tournament and won an astonishing 17 Golds, 7 Silvers, and 4 Bronze medals.

After an incredible demonstration of skills in the tournament, our team had a wonderful bus journey full of dance and enjoyment, with the amazing people of the Kerala team from Munnar to Thrissur.
The next day, our team went for a walk in the evening on the beautiful streets of Kerala. At night, we caught the train, reaching Kolkata on 31 December. Thus, we finished the year on a remarkable note.
Kajaguri Banerjee, a talented Class 2 student of P. B. Academic School, participated in the prestigious Iwashita Cup 2024, All India Open Karate Championship. The event, organized by the Alipurduar Sports Karate Association, was held at the Railway Institute Hall in Alipurduar on the 28th and 29th of September.
Competing in the below 7 girls basic category, Kajaguri demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, securing first place in both Kata and Kumite events. Her outstanding performance has not only brought pride to her school but also highlighted her potential in martial arts at a young age.

On the 29th of September, 2024, the Scouts and Guides team of P. B. Academic School made a remarkable debut at the District Scout Guide Competition held at National Gems School, Behala, representing the South 24-Parganas region. In their first-ever attempt, the team secured an impressive 2nd position, standing tall amongst seasoned participants from across the district.
This significant achievement reflects not only the hard work and dedication of the scouts but also the comprehensive support and encouragement from the school community. The team’s success serves as a source of immense pride for everyone at P. B. Academic School, highlighting their unwavering spirit and commitment.
The scouts were skillfully guided by their Guide Master, Mr. Kamal Mitra, and Guide Captain, Ms. Mita Chakraborty and Bulbul Flock Leader Ms Mithu Das whose leadership played a pivotal role in preparing the team for this competition. Their tireless efforts and expert guidance were instrumental in helping the scouts excel in various activities, which tested their teamwork, skill, and discipline.

Purushottam Bhagchandka Academic School Achieves Excellence in Co-Curricular Activities: Principal Madhuparna Andrews Honored with Star Education Award.
In a testament to its commitment to holistic education, Purushottam Bhagchandka Academic School has once again distinguished itself by excelling in co-curricular activities. The event was held in BKC MMRDA, Grounds Mumbai.

A Teacher’s Day Felicitation Programme was held on 5th September 2023 at the Indian Museum Auditorium. The programme was organised by the Indian Museum, Kolkata, Ministry of Culture, Government of India in collaboration with B. D Memorial Institute.
The programme was a heartfelt tribute to the dedicated educators who have shaped the lives of countless students.
Two teachers from the institution Mrs J. D. Bhaumik and Mrs S. D Ray attended the programme along with the school Principal, Mrs Madhuparna Andrews.
Camelia Saha Das, our school PR, also received a trophy and a certificate.
To add a touch of entertainment, our students put up a dance performance on the theme of “Shakti” which was widely appreciated.
The event left a lasting impression on all attendees. It served as a powerful reminder of the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the future and reinforced the importance of recognising and appreciating their contributions.
In a remarkable display of oratory prowess, Krittika Das emerged as the Best Speaker and also the winner in the fiercely competitive elocution Euro Eloquence competition organised by Euro School, Thane on 25th August 2023. The event which was held in an online platform brought together young talents from schools across the country and few from abroad, witnessed Krittika’s eloquence and confidence steal the limelight.
Krittika spoke on Greta Thurnburg’s UN Speech, the speech that resonated with both the judges and the audience. She not only captivated the audience but also left the judges in awe with her impeccable delivery to emerge as the winner amongst 74 participants.
The PBAS family congratulates her on this impressive achievement and wishes her luck in her future endeavors.
PBAS students win the prestigious “Pratibha Samman Award”

“Prabhat Khabar” is a leading Hindi language newspaper published daily . Every year the newspaper tabloid honours the meritorious students with the “Pratibha Samman Award” all across West Bengal for their efforts and dedication in the field of Education. The students are selected on the basis of their academic performance in the 10+2 levels.
This year 14 students from P.B. Academic School were bestowed with this prestigious award for their outstanding results in the ICSE and ISC Examinations 2023. Arkadeep Mondal, Roshan Kumar Singh, Eshagni Ghosh, Rupsa Dutt and Astha Singh received in their certificates, medals and gift hampers in the award ceremony held in the National Library on 1st July 2023.
PBAS congratulates all the winners and we are sure that they will continue making their Alma Mater proud in all their future endeavours.
