The teachers role during pandemic times have magnified. They are playing a role of a mentor, guide, friend, counsellor. Everyday in the morning, we see a smiling face greeting us from a screen, ensuring all is well. A typical day of a teacher starts from making presentations, to taking online classes, communicating with parents, online meetings, counsellor, extra household work. A Big shoutout to all the teachers for all the hard work and efforts. We are forever indebted to you!!

Purushottam Bhagchandka Academic School had an exuberant celebration of their Annual Prize Day for the session 2019-20 on 25th July at 5pm held virtually through GMEET. The school acknowledged and encouraged the prize winners along with the Board toppers in ICSE and ISC through e certificates. The indomitable spirit of the students were evident through the musical rendition which was a treat to the eyes and ears. The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest Dr. Amrita Dass, Founder- Director of Institute for Career Studies who motivated the prize winners with her enlightened perspective. The journey of the school in 2019 -20 with a special edition of virtual classes during lockdown was presented by the Principal Mrs. M. Andrews. She said ‘the unprecedented pandemic has encouraged us to discover our strengths, the school has not only conducted teaching online but also offered life-skills training through virtual platform seamlessly.’ Two new categories in the Prize section were introduced; the Cock House Cup to appreciate the best House of the session and the Student of the year to acknowledge the contribution of a student in the academic and non-academic performance. The accolades won by the school in the last session and even during lockdown emboldened the students to perform even better this year. The welcome address by the Rector Mrs. U. Andrews, the message from the Chairman Mr. P. K. Bhagchandka delivered by Management Trustee Mrs. Kirti Bhagchandka were filled with praises for the benchmark performance by the students. The proud parents and guardians of the prize winners made the event a grand success with their presence. This event witnessed that the unnatural crisis cannot dampen the spirit and morale of the staff and students of PBAS!
