The maths club of Purushottam Bhagchandka Academic School has undertaken the initiative of inculcating the interest in the subject across the school. The students enthusiastically participated in five different activities under the guidance of the maths teachers. It was a successful venture as students displayed overwhelming response. The school has once again shown its mettle that despite being distantly connected they are capable of guiding the students to achieve nothing but the best.

Activity 1: was the puzzle time, made with the help of square box by the students of class-5. They found an individual, missing number with the help of grids.

Activity 2: was done by the students of class-6, different types of angles demonstrated by rotating discs.

 Activity 3: was done by the students of class-7 who represented the multiplication of fractions, numerically, as well as graphically.

Activity 4: was based on the Angle sum property. Students of class-8, proved that sum of the angles of a tringle is 180 degree.

Activity 5: the last but not the least done by the students of class-9 which was based on finding the health status of class-9 by Body Mass Index(B.M.I.) method.

*The Science Club* of Purushottam Bhagchandka Academic School promotes discovering and learning innovative ideas to arouse the curiosity among the budding scientists. During this pandemic situation, the school has made Virtual learning interesting by engaging the children in hands-on-training in science to develop their skills, abilities, aptitude and competence to enhance their performance for a better future. The Club is presenting a video which compiles various experiments conducted by our members. We keenly try to inculcate the scientific temper and spirit of inquiry among our students to develop a passion for science in them.

‘The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.’ This has been the motto of the Interact Club of PBAS.

The Club celebrated its fourth installation virtually through Zoom cloud on 11th July at 5.30 pm. Immense thanks to the technology which keep us connected amidst pandemic maintaining social distancing. The programme was attended by three honourable delegates from Rotary Club of Calcutta Victoria – Mrs. Gayatri Dhar the President, Mrs. Seema Danda the Secretary and Mrs. Sulagna Daw the DICC. Our honourable Rector Mrs. Usha Andrews and honourable Principal Mrs. Madhuparna Andrews along with many teachers of the school graced the occasion. The teacher-coordinators of the club Mrs S Dutta Roy and Mrs S Roy helped in organising this virtual session. The 40 minutes long programme commenced with a Prayer. The programme was attended by the ex-interactors and as well as the new ones. We were delighted to have interactors from St. James School amidst us. The installation service highlighted discussions about the previous projects and achievements of the club which was put forth by the ex-president Nilanjana Dhar. The newly elected president Adrija Mukherjee presented the plans for the new projects of the club for the year 2020-21. The newly elected board members of the club includes- Adrija Mukherjee as thePresident, Anushka Bhowmik as the Vice-President, Sayantan Majumdar as the Secretary and Xclara Kar as the Treasurer. The programme ended with the national anthem and a vote of thanks by our honourable Principal who advised the interactors to ‘ Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you; utilise your time for the good of the society with utmost sincerity and dedication.’

They have made beautiful cards and have conveyed their love to people who are still carrying on with their daily works so that our lives are comfortable.  They can be the grocery shop owner, newspaper vendors, plumber, our pool car drivers., cleaners.
